On a Monday morning in January, I decided to head out to Julian Rocks. The forecast looked good, but as we got out there it was a lot rougher than expected. We almost cancelled the dive, but the snorkel guide got in the water to check the current and it was actually alright. It was quite a bumpy snorkel as we were being thrown around by the waves, but then after drifting around to the other side of the rocks, it's like the ocean rewarded us for our efforts and this massive fever of golden cownose rays showed up and did circles around us as we squealed of joy through.
