I had come down to watch some of the world's best surfers prepare for competition at Burleigh Heads and between the action I wanted to capture a portrait of the Gold Coast. A place where two worlds meet.I love the juxtaposition between the still, structured skyline and the surfer carving through something fluid and unpredictable beneath a dramatic sunrise sky.
